Born of Vietnamese descent, Phuong-Dan grew up in a small town close to Bonn, Germany, before moving to Hamburg. It was around this time that his interest in Chicago house and Detroit techno began to blossom. Since over ten years he runs the club-night Gatto Musculoso at the legendary Golden Pudel club in Hamburg, that provided a great space for musical experimentation. Dan’s unique and eclectic sets range from contemporary underground techno, minimal synth, post-punk and ebm to krautrock and rare disco. He is a regular guest at Düsseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs, De School in Amsterdam and Prague’s Ankali, and was invited to play at festivals like Dekmantel or Love International Festival.
